Application of Aluminum Sheet 4043

The representative types of aluminum alloy 4000 series (Al – Si) are 4043, 4343 specialized in welding

materials. Aluminum alloy 4043 has advantage of avoiding the welding crack with low melting point,

good liquidity, good corrosion resistance. The content of Si in aluminum alloy 4343 is higher than 4043.

Alloy 4043 is usually used for composite brazing plate cladding layer because of its low melting point,

narrow scope of solidification and good liquidity.

Aluminum plate 4043 is often used in high strength sheet metal work, marine components, appliances,

fuel and oil tubing. Aluminum plate 4043 is one of the higher strength non-heat treatable alloys. It has

a high fatigue strength and is a good choice for structures subjected to excessive vibration. The alloy

has excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine atmospheres.
