Black Plated Anodized 6063 aluminum tubing is commonly found in structural applications as it has a high resistance to stress cracking. It is also non-magnetic and above average corrosion resistance. It has good machinability and is excellent for welding.

Workability: Black Plated Anodized 6063 aluminum tubing alloy has good acceptance of applied coatings such as anodized or painted finishes. 6063 aluminum square tubing is fairly easy to weld, and is relatively soft and easy to cut. 6063 alloy can be machined, but does not machine as well as harder alloys like 6061.
